The source archive 2.0 Dev 9 is containing the typo issue which has been fixed one day after (see 155673a).

Hence the tar.gz archive is not compilable and need to be patch each time.

Is it possible to republish the correct tar.gz ?

The source packages are automatically generated by GitHub whenever a release is created. So, they would only be replaced by publishing a new release. However, aside from the files being outdated, the packages are also not compilable because submodules like GLI are missing.

I'm using the source packages in order to provide a package for Haiku OS (which is working fine today, I'm currently working on the patches part :)).

Regarding the GLI part, it's being handled by downloading the archive from https://github.com/g-truc/gli/

Regarding the typo issue in nifskope source, the only solution is to apply a patch just after downloading the package => That's why I have raised this issue because I've noticed the point.
