Pack Contest

Hi @mikenomitch ,

I was wondering if the contest to win t-shirts was still a thing that was happening (this one from the blog: https://www.hashicorp.com/blog/share-your-nomad-packs-for-a-pack-contest), and if so, how is it communicated and/or is there a way to see who was included in each month's draw?

Looking at PRs, mine (#100) was one of 3 for December, so was kinda hoping for a T-Shirt :)

Hey @Pondidum,

We never announced the winners for round two (round one winners were announced here). That's on me mostly, sorry!

I was planning to extend round two and announce winners once Nomad 1.3 came out. After betas come out, our team (the contest voters) has some relative down time, so it was just about carving out enough time to do some real reviews and think critically about who the winners are.

As I'm typing this, I'm realizing that extending the round changes the public contract of the contest though (by broadening the competition). So I think it'll be fair to select the "round 2 winners" from the first month, and then "post-round 2 winners" for anything after.

In any case, really sorry about the delay on this! I got distracted by other things, and then once I realized we were pretty late, I didn't want to distract the team too much from closing out 1.3.

On the bright side, we're aiming for Nomad 1.3 Beta (and Pack tech_preview_3) for next week! So, apart from the goodies in that, that means we should be able to close this out for real (and hopefully work thru our PR backlog a bit).
