Dual licensing under GPLv3 and MIT?

First and foremost a big thank you for taking the initiative and actively work on a successor to the unescape crate!

For being a plug-in replacement for unescape it would be great to have this crate also licensed under the MIT license. Have you already thought about it? Would this be an option for you? I would like to use the crate as a dependency in serialport but can't do it as of now due to incompatible licenses.
