• Release status.
• Dmitrii: a mode of Gramine without fork support?
  • Dmitrii has a couple usages for stripped-down single-process Gramine.
  • A lot of Gramine codebase is tied to multi-processing. I'd argue about 50%.
  • Many Gramine tests are unnecessarily multi-processing-requiring. E.g., one test may have 5 sub-tests, where only one sub-test requires fork. It's a pity to disable the whole test just because of 1 sub-test.
  • Options:
    a. Introduce a single macro -DNO_MULTI_PROCESS_SUPPORT. My preferred choice (+ a CI to test this).
    b. Have a new project gramineproject/gramine-sp that is periodically synced with main Gramine codebase.
    c. Have a fork, e.g., on dimakuv's GitHub page.
• Dmitrii: flock() problem of last-reference-to-opened-file and the centralized handling of refcounting.
