There are a lot of custom logic - api, middlewares, tests helpers, etc. There are should be in npm lib for sharing and reusing in other projects.

P.S. Additional work:

Rewrite message handlers to object;
Add some basic project generator;
Add some observers for async message senging(not only reacting to messages).
