It would be handy if $ could be recognised as a valid variable name. It would mean expressions such as $.name would be possible. The idea is that it would synonymous to this.name in certain contexts. As far as I can see, $ isn't referenced in the CEL specification for anything else and I don't see any strict definition for naming of variables. Thoughts?
