Bar cursor disappearing on the Left One Eighth Block character

I use Left One Eighth Block character for line indentation in nvim.
When I enter Insert mode on this character, the cursor disappears.

Ghostty config:

cursor-color = red
cursor-text = green

Cursor in Normal Mode:
The cursor is visible and behaves as expected.

Cursor in Insert Mode:
The cursor disappears when placed on the Left One Eighth Block character.

Cursor in Insert Mode (Alacritty):
The cursor appears as expected in Alacritty or Kitty terminal with default configs

The cursor appears if I increase adjust-cursor-thickness, but it is still looks strange
