Just want to report that I was able to successfully go through all the steps with J-Link EDU mini 1.0, updated to the latest firmware. Only unique thing I did was keep the USB-C on the G&W unplugged the entire time, not sure if it made any difference. I don't know what issues others might be having with it for it to be marked as does not work.
