  • I am a personal at home miner located in Vancouver, Canada. Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/feiya200/
  • I started mining filecoin since June 2020 and participated SpaceRace and every Slingshot competition since start. I participated Slingshot phase 1 mid-term showcase. I am actively filing bug reports on github as well as provide help to community members as much as I can on slack. I am a member of MinerX program.
  • I am asking to become a verified client because I am storing curated public dataset "CommonCrawl" as a Slingshot competitor. https://commoncrawl.org/
  • I intend to store the data as per Slingshot rules: 3~5 replications, I get my miner list from slingshot channel on slack from all geographical location. I am not associated with or concentrate on any single entity or affiliate.
  • I have applied to Textile (waiting for them to implement approval) and Fleek (no response)
  • I am OK to post deals here to demonstrate I have followed rules.

Hey @kernelogic - thanks for your request. Can you kindly add more information / context here on:
What is your use case for the DataCap you requested? Your relationship with the data, especially regard to copyright of those data?

I am going to use the datacap to store the public data set https://commoncrawl.org/ with MinerX group members. I have no relationship to the dataset, it's public on aws.

If you not already know, MinerX group consists of 30 most active small miners chosen by Protocol Labs from Slack community to experiment and give feedback.

Thank you. The address is correct.
I can see you categorized me as individual. However I do have a registered corporation in Canada for just myself. Is that considered an individual or a corporation?

Hello @ann-shin no problem at all. Like I said, the corporation is just myself, home-based. Registered in 2011 in Canada on the federal level.

It is just a front for any of my software development activity. I mainly develop online collaboration portal for market agencies which is NOT related to filecoin/ipfs.

I have 33 followers on twitter https://twitter.com/activecollabmod

I have no registered users related to ipfs/filecoin and no storage usage for corporation.

Hello @kernelogic , Thank you for your answers. According to our rules (filecoin-project/notary-governance#27), you are an L2 customer with a score of 2. The first maximum grant is 2TiB, the single maximum grant is 5TiB, the total maximum grant is 20TiB. This time you are granted for 1TiB DataCap. Next time you will be up to twice the DataCap allocation as this time.

Thank you, quick question, when I want to renew for more datacap, do I need to open a new issue and a new address? Or can I reopen this issue and use the same address?

Hey @kernelogic, Unfortunately at this time it is only possible to award datacap once per issue and per address. So you need to open a new issue and a new address when you renew for more datacap.
