Currently the publish method uses varargs (arguments object), that is pretty slow unfortunately, as shown in this benchmark:

since the transmission mechanism needs to be as fast as possible turning to publish(string channel, array values) seems to be a very good idea.
This should be done before releasing 1.0 since it's about API stability.
