The docs don't mention the npm package directly, instead they suggest the contracts now live in the monorepo.

The npm package is mentioned in the repo itself but the package on npm seems abandoned (last update 8 months ago)

anything tagged with op-contracts/vX.Y.Z(so v1.8.0 is fine)
the contract code in develop branch is unaudited,so don't use it

most of the thing are migrated out of npm package,so you should use github monorepo as dependencies
I am also asking other guys, will reply here if we have better options for dependencies that github monorepo
