I am trying to convert MP3 files to WAV and have configured the WAV encoder to Signed 24 bit PCM.
The resulting WAV file opens in Audacity and reports a format of 32-bit float. I can export from Audacity as a 24-Bit PCM which seems to work, but not from fre:ac.
I have selected Sample Rate Converter, and Sample Format Converter under Processing. The Sample Rate is converting as I expected. However, the sample format is still coming up as 32-bit float.
I need to convert to a specific 16-Bit PCM or 24-Bit PCM and 48K or 44.1K sample rate WAV file as those are the only encodings that seem to be supported by the Behringer Wing mixing console.
I can do the conversion by loading it into Audacity and exporting audio, but fre:ac is not working for me. Am I missing something?
