Steps to reproduce

Unknown as it randomly happened. Below is what i did as it happened.

I opened the app into matrix HQ. Switched to Office of the matrix.org foundation and saw the error You can not see earlier messages like 4 messages into history.

I switch back to HQ and back to office and problem gone.

What did you expect?

To see earlier message history

What happened instead?

Greeted with a unable to see history error that was clearly false.
