I found wphardening is a great idea, the work with the .htaccess and robots.txt it's amazing.

But .htaccess is not compatible with nginx which one I normally use.

As far Wordpress is compatible with other webservers, it could be really cool to do a config generator for that other web-servers. At least nignx, which is widely used for the community.

I will study how to improve the compatibility of the .htaccess file with nginx to strengthen more the tool.

I just found two very interesting web service that can transform .htaccess directives to nginx

http://winginx.com/en/htaccess

http://www.anilcetin.com/

The idea would be to look similar to these alternative.

Nginx does not use or support htaccess.. What you can do is take the directive from an existing htaccess and rewrite the rules for nginx and add them to your config file, or the config of the virtual Host. It is posible to create a separate config file with the directive and include it on existing configurations.
