Our users want the alias of a filter created from a visualization to be what they set the Custom Label to in that visualization.

We are currently working on a generic "Action pipeline" (see #32371), which will enable way more flexible handling of filtering (or any other action). Until that's implemented we're not planning to make this a special case in the filter creation. I would close this issue with reference to the Action pipeline.
