If you're blocking spotify ads using a host file copy/paste from reddit, the program will not detect which track you're playing due to unnecessary blocks.
To solve this, remove these. Ads will still be blocked through hosts file, so don't worry about that.
Interesting. I've paid for Spotify since the day it came out so I've never experienced ads once. I do know that when an ad plays it interrupts what Snip sees but it should either blank out the file or ignore it.
Yeah I didn't really want to list it as an "issue" since it's not one, just documentation for those that block ads using this method. My friend ran into it and after a while I pinpointed it to those host file blocks.
