I think a common pattern will be Manifests and Collections stored in a IIIF Repository implementing something like #184, but projects might be implicit, not obvious to the user; or stored in Local Storage, or stored somewhere else.
For Canadiana this is the storage adapter for the ME that can browse, read from and write to #184.
Does the projects model reflect how Canadiana would work? Loading manifests from and saving them back to a IIIF Repository, that might support versioning, probably uses eTags, provides publishing workflows at a protocol level. Some of the functionality of a Project is provided by the repository itself at the protocol level. Need to work through the comments on #184.
