I am finding the Hunterisation commits on CURL to be really complicated. I can propose a simpler branch history if you would be interested in testing (might make rebasing easier in future).

I have started a cleaned up hunterisation history here (for CURL 7.87.0): cpp-pm/curl#5

I will need some help getting this up to date, cleaned up and working without regressions. Hopefully that will save us time going forwards (since there seems to be a new CURL release every couple of months).
