I'm glad to see that projects exist that refine and personalize the user experience. We should use them whenever the native experience is not satisfactory for UX purposes.
However, type="color"exists. And I strongly think that any introduction to a color-picking library should start by informing users of what exists and how it is supported by current browsers (including the limitations).
This way, we ensure that the library always fulfills its objective of improving the web.
