[CLOSED] Top Level Folder in Sidebar is confusing #923

+1--the visual hierarchy doesn't seem right right now. I'm not sure it should look exactly like a folder--if anything it should maybe be a little more prominent than the folders. |

I believe Garth has a proposal to make that heading more prominent as well as add an "Open Files" heading over the working set. I remember it looking much more clear in those mockups.

The top level of the folder hierarchy in the project panel is confusing:

It is not really clear what it is as:
Basically, it is a folder, but is styled differently from all other folders, which makes it a bit confusing, and not clear what it actually is.
Furthermore, because it is not selectable, it doesn't appear possible to create a file in the root of the project directory.
I would recommend styling it like all other folders, and give it the same functionality.
