Customizing the following, advanced Window Appearance attributes cause render and sometimes accessibility issues in the Brackets main menu:

  • Border Padding;
  • Active Window Border size; and
  • Inactive Window Border size.

Changing the following attributes also result in similar behavior:

  • Active Title Bar size
  • Caption Buttons size
  • Inactive Title Bar size
    However, restarting Brackets appears to fix the problem by adjusting the client area accordingly.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. launch Brackets on Windows
  2. invoke the Window Color and Appearance dialog (see instructions here)
  3. change Border Padding to 15. Click Apply.

Observed:
the row of main menu items are cut off horizontally by the client area

Expected:
the menu items would not be cut off and that the client area would shrink to accommodate the new border padding

Note: some Windows themes might change these attributes as well, so there might be some overlap in related issues.

Reviewed low priority to@JeffryBooher (this is low relative to the other dark shell related theme issues, but we can raise the priority if we start seeing more reports as we had with other issues)
