in Back In Time 0.9.26 (Ubuntu 10.04), I am backing up selected directories in my home directory to a filesystem mounted in my home directory. Example:
BiT Snapshot Destination (separate filesystem mounted here):
/home/user/backintime_user
BiT remembers where to back up to, no problem. But when I open Settings to change anything, BiT forgets where to back up to. It reverts to my home directory without asking me anything. Fortunately, you can't save your settings that way ("You can't include a backup sub-folder !"), but it is annoying, and the first time it happened to me I was at a loss as to what to fix.
After reselecting the correct destination (must be done every time), settings can be saved and BiT works normally.
