• Conference discussion:

  • For the in-person location looks like Spain (Canary Island) is most interesting. Other suggestions is Croatia (probably Zagreb) and Spain (Barcelona) -> Venue and Date of the Conference 2022 #313
  • Sergio brought interesting subject that picking location should be based on the audience preference, to know where from majority comes and if they can afford more expensive travels to Canary Island. We should discuss idea of sending a survey to the community where we ask a couple of questions, like for example if they are sponsored by their company or travel on their own.   • Lukasz asked if we should have a dedicated conference meeting, to meet weekly and coordinate progress + trigger more close collaboration on the event. We should make a final decision on it in the following discussion: Conference related meeting #322
  • Ben brought interesting idea of having co-located meetup/satelite events that could enable community members that cannot travel to have a place to meet, watch live stream together and still collaborate. Individual companies could sponsor these, especially if they would be close to the office location. Ben will soon open dedicated discussion for it.
• Sergio brought the topic that comes from this PR and this Slack thread. Basically how often and in what form community wants to get updates on certain areas. Please join discussion Shall AsyncAPI provide detailed status updates periodically? #321
• This was the last meeting that was first hosted on Zoom and recording to follow later. This week we merge feat: add asyncapi events scheduling automation #308 and all meetings in future will always be live streamed and recordings will be available immediately as a stream recording.
• AsyncAPI got accepted for Google Season of Docs. We coordinate all on dedicated temporary Slack channel temp-gsod-2022
• AsyncAPI Mentorship program is submitted for TSC voting Mentorship program #284 (comment) - so far only YES answers and a lot of interest from the community
