Installation instructions for Windows missing

It would be great to have a version that runs on windows. If windows should not be supported - which I would regret - there should be an appropriate information in the documentation.

Windows isn't "officially" supported. During development, I did successfully test the emulator on Windows, but the GTK3 installation process was sufficiently painful (and the GTK build sufficiently buggy) that no-one wanted to throw official support behind it. It may be that, in the intervening years, GTK3's finally a bit less buggy (and perhaps easier to install) but I can't say I've checked.

Or to put it another way: if someone wants to have a play with this and put together some instructions (or even an installer!), I'll happily consider them for inclusion.
