is this repository still maintained? Could I help in any way? Is there a way to start maintaining it?

Bumping this, I emailed Aaron Lav and Dan Davis a couple weeks ago about a character encoding issue and haven't heard anything back. There are a few forks active in the last few years but nothing that looks like it's being actively maintained any more than this is. It'd be great to continue developing this to add more query options.
