extra mime.types and mime.convs for specific printer queues #8
Comments
CUPS.org User: mike Well, for mime.convs you can use the cupsFilter attribute in the PPD file. It might be possible to add a list a MIME types to exclude for specific queues. Would something like that support what you want to do? |
CUPS.org User: ausi.gmx I already tried this, it didn't solve my problem. See a detailed description of my problem here: |
CUPS.org User: mike That's because you didn't enable the application/octet-stream MIME type in mime.types; the .types files specify what types are supported, and the .convs and .ppd files specify the filters. |
CUPS.org User: ausi.gmx Right, it works now. When I print now a file with unkown format to a non-raw queue Thanks, Ausi |

It would be helpful, if one could assign special edited mime.types and mime.convs to a specific printer queue.
At the moment there is only one mime.types and only one mime.convs, which apply to all printer queues.
