The current Swedish translation, updated by Ulf Scherov, is broken.
I don't understand what he did but it seems he is inexperienced with gettext.

Here is an updated translation, synced with r6956.
I spent 2 hours of fixed previous errors and mistranslations.

Please commit.

Your version is substantially different from the file in current trunk or 1.3.x and contains a lot of errors on its own. For example, ALL of the ERROR: prefixes have to remain untranslated. Also, it looks like you are missing several new strings from the current cups_sv.po and cups.pot files.

FWIW, the "checkpo" program included with CUPS can be used to validate your translation for common errors, once you have completed your translation...

Anyways, thanks for submitting this - if you can fix the ERROR: prefixes and (re)add the missing messages, I'll make sure this makes it into the next release.

Hi Michael,

ALL of the ERROR: prefixes have to remain untranslated.

Sorry, didn't know about the ERROR issue. Does the same apply for FAIL?

Also, it looks like you are missing several new strings from the current cups_sv.po and cups.pot files.

No, I msgmerged from the r6956 developer snapshot (first file) and trunk (second file) and they contain the same strings.

FWIW, the "checkpo" program included with CUPS can be used to validate

Great, I ran it and it said PASS on the new file.

What about copyright? My translations are always copyright me (as is normal all around the world) but I always give the copyright to Free Software Foundation (yes, I signed the FSF Disclaimer for translators).

Regards,
Daniel

Yes, FAIL:, CRIT:, ERROR:, ALERT:, INFO:, and NOTICE: all need to be preserved.

As for copyright, it should be assigned (if you do this - we don't require assignment for the translations) to Apple, as we aren't a FSF project...

I have now updated the file, replacing FAIL (and some minor errors found too). I have changed the copyright from FSF to Apple, Inc.
