I am on Arch Linux (kernel version 6.13.2) using the AUR package. I used to play the game back in version 5.0 without issue. Yesterday I updated my whole system, including the launcher.
When I try launching the game, the following happens:
it takes quite a long time to launch, and freezes at the initial "Hoyoverse" screen;
sometimes the text is black, sometimes it has already faded to gray, but in all cases it freezes in place;
CPU usage is minimal, but nonzero, while VRAM used is 761 MiB;
the window, which I set not to be fullscreen, can only be closed by force.
I have a laptop with a Nvidia dGPU and most combinations of Wine and DXVK didn't work/were glitchy for me.
A working setup I was originally using is:
Wine-GE-Proton 8-15
dxvk-2.1
To circumvent the freezing issue I tried other combinations with newer versions, but it didn't change anything. Hence I reverted to the above combination, from which I got the following logs.
