Starting January 2022 Amazon will only accept feeds based on current Home category-specific inventory templates

What is changing?

Starting January 17, 2022, we will only accept feeds based on current category-specific inventory templates. The attributes have been available in templates since October 1. We are standardizing Home and Furniture item dimensions attributes for 30 product types:

RUG, PILLOW, PILLOWCASE, RUG_PAD, BLANKET, CURTAIN, WINDOW_SHADE, HOME_MIRROR, LAMP, SHELF, CHAIR, DESK, CABINET, DRESSER, BENCH, UTILITY_CART_WAGON, STORAGE_DRAWER, FURNITURE_CART, PLANTER, STOOL_SEATING, OTTOMAN, SOFA, TABLE, HEADBOARD, ROOM_DIVIDER, MATTRESS, AIR_MATTRESS, BED, BED_FRAME, CRIB

Current inventory templates contain TemplateType=fptcustom in the A:1 cell. Feeds based on older templates will be rejected. For the latest templates, see Inventory file templates and BTG99 in Seller Central.

This change only affects category-specific inventory templates, and not the Inventory Loader, Listing Loader, and Price and Quantity templates.

Which marketplaces are affected?

This change applies to all marketplaces.

Who is affected?

Developers with applications that upload and update product listings using feeds based on the category-specific inventory file templates are affected.
What action is required?
If you have an application that is affected, be sure to:

• Base your application workflow on the latest inventory file templates.
• Ensure that the fields in the header line of your feed match the fields in the latest template for that feed. For example: TemplateType=fptcustom,Version=2018.1107,Category=petsupplies,TemplateSignature=UEVUX1NVUFBMSUVT
