I don't understand this issue. You defined overflow: visible so of course the labels will overlay one another...

Sorry for the late answer. The problem is that even if overflow: visible is set, text must not overlay. It works when no item is selected, but when one is selected it bugs. I found it in the official framework example : please find the problem here: http://visjs.org/examples/timeline/items/rangeOverflowItem.html
