Contributing to cdk-chalice

The following is a set of guidelines for contributing to cdk-chalice. These are mostly guidelines, not rules. Use your best judgment, and feel free to propose changes to this document in a pull request.

Contributor

Create development environment

git clone https://github.com/alexpulver/cdk-chalice.git
cd cdk-chalice
python3 -m venv .venv
source .venv/bin/activate
./scripts/install-deps.sh
git checkout -b BRANCH

[Optional] Add dependencies (ordered by constraints)

<add dependencies to setup.py or requirements-dev.in>
pip-compile
pip-compile requirements-dev.in
./scripts/install-deps.sh
./scripts/run-tests.sh

[Optional] Upgrade dependencies (ordered by constraints)

pip-compile --upgrade
pip-compile --upgrade requirements-dev.in
./scripts/install-deps.sh
./scripts/run-tests.sh

Implement

[Optional] Update CHANGELOG.md if your change affects library interface
