Describe the bug
No text shown in choices for non ASCII chars, even if using custom font.

To Reproduce
I have used Ever17 HD Russian version from here and overridden Times font, taken from Windows. Every VN choice, including the main one, lacks proper non-ASCII text display.

Expected behavior
Non-ASCII text shown, either with the inbuilt font, or with an overridden one.
