Is there a reason you can't just open up ABS in the web browser on the Kobo and download the ebook file? I don't have a Kobo, but if you're already using a web browser I would assume you can load the web client. |

I just purchased a Kobo device and was looking in to how I could wirelessly transfer books to my ereader. I came across a Reddut post that mentioned a web application called send2ereader. It works very well and looks to be relatively simple.
I imagine it to be kind of the opposite of how it works now. Each user would have a persistent unique key generated (or maybe just a popup with a random key shown). If there is an ebook for the book, a 'send to device' option would appear on the books page. On the ereader, navigate to sub.example.com/send2ereader (or something like that) and they would enter in the key. Then the link with the download would appear and the user would download a correctly formatted book to their device.
I know Kindle has the email option, but that is really cumbersome in my opinion. For Kobo, it was just download the book and it was ready to go on the device. I would think it would be the same for Kindle.
