  1. Click the black Add Block button in the block editor
  2. Click the Browse All button
  3. A block panel opens on the left of the editor
  4. There's no obvious way to close the panel

The only way we've figured out to close the browse all blocks panel is to click over in the body of the post on the Add Block button again.

As I understand it, when that panel opens, the assumption is that the user will either select a block, or continue what they were previously doing and just click on the main area to continue writing etc.
Worth discussing though as it may not be entirely clear. 👍

Thanks for finding that duplicate. Also, it literally never occurred to us to look outside of the panel for the close button. When we cited the option to click the black plus sign, we were actually referring to the icon on the page for inserting new blocks, not the plus button on the top toolbar. Now that you've called attention to the option, we have a decent workaround. However, after reading the duplicate ticket it would make sense to either have a close X on the Browse All panel or remove the close X on the other panels and force users to open and close using the top toolbar. I wonder if there are any accessibility implications of not having an option to close the panel easily from within the panel though.
