Reproduction steps

Open any file, slice, print.
When i go back to modify the slicer settings cura has crashed.

More often than not, when cura has been left open for an extended period.

Actual results

cura crash

Expected results

Cura not to crash and lose all the settings that have not been saved to a profile.

Thanks for the report.
I don't know what your upload is.
Set Cura up and allow it to crash. Then use the "Help | Export Package for Technical Support" command. Zip that 3mf file and post it here. Along with a project file it will contain the Cura.log file which may have a clue in it.
