I'm not particularly interested in this, but it's worth noting that applications and services can be started in different ways.
User applications are mostly started using $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/autostart/, but services---and more rarely applications---can also be started looking into /etc/xdg/autostart/. Additionally systemd can also start services (systemd [enable/disable] <service_name>)
in the future it could be interesting to handle these cases as well
