Blurry GNOME overview icons with 20200702

After yesterday's update the icons in the GNOME applications list have been low-res.

Actually the icons always were blurred. GNOME Dash uses the weird resolution (72px or 76px) for the icons that we aren't supported. Seems since 20200702 the icons scaling from 48px and not from 64px icons, but anyway both of these resolutions gave blurred icons.

On the standard displays, the icons on the Dash do not change. I do not have a HiDPI monitor, so can I ask you to do several changes on your system?

Could you make a screenshot of the Dash with previous Papirus release?

Wow, it's a big surprise for me that the icons are not blurred on HiDPI screen like on standard displays. It uses 64px × 3 = 192px, so just need to point how to get it.

Can you look on folder and file icons in Nautilus with 50%, 67%, 100%, and 133% zoom on the 20200702 version, and report any issues with it?

Please install the icon theme from 96_256 branch and report any issues with apps, folders (include folders with emblems), and file icons with all zoom steps available in Nautilus.

I can't see any problems in Nautilus, with all the zoom settings. They all look fine with 20200702.

With branch 96_256 the GNOME app list is fixed, and Nautilus remains fine.

We decided do not to create a hotfix release due to the small number of HiDPI screens. The users of these displays may install fixes using Papirus Installer, ppa:papirus/papirus-dev, or papirus-icon-theme-git package.
