The new icon now resembles the KDE logo. This looks odd on my panel which otherwise contains no branding. I did prefer the generic looking icon that comes with GSConnect (see image below), which was a laptop with a phone in front. I think it makes sense to make an icon based on that given that the Arch/Manjaro update icon was changed to be a generic update symbol.

i don't like laptop+phone icon... It's very specific icon. I'm not have laptop and use PC.
Maybe better use this icon?

That's fair, I didn't consider other types of devices. That icon is nice!

Hi, is there some way to change it back to the default laptop + phone icon? The "GS" icon looks very out of place next to the other system icons IMO.

sudo rm /usr/share/icons/Papirus/symbolic/status/org.gnome.Shell.Extensions.GSConnect-symbolic.svg
sudo rm /usr/share/icons/Papirus-Dark/symbolic/status/org.gnome.Shell.Extensions.GSConnect-symbolic.svg

Awesome, thank you @varlesh!

@varlesh Using the above workaround, the icon returns after each update. It really looks out of place, in my opinion, and isn't very "symbolic" of what it is.

Especially when using the messaging functionality.
