Openstack Single node installation

I'm very new to OpenStack and currently working as an L1 level engineer with basic Linux administration experience. I recently started exploring OpenStack and decided to set up a single-node OpenStack environment using DevStack. I was able to install it successfully, and I can access the Horizon dashboard. However, I'm having some issues with configuring storage for virtual machines (VMs).

Here are the main problems I’m facing:

1. Volume Configuration: I'm a bit confused about how volumes and storage allocation work in OpenStack. How do I set up storage properly for virtual machines?
2. VM Installation: I attempted to create a VM (Ubuntu Desktop) but ran into issues during the installation, specifically related to partitioning. The installation failed due to partition issues.
3. Dedicated Partition for VM Storage: How can I configure a dedicated partition for VM instance storage? I want to ensure that VMs use a specific partition without running into storage issues.
4. Hardware Compatibility: I am using an ASUS Z90 Prime motherboard with an Intel i7 14th Gen processor. Is it possible to run OpenStack single node in a fully functioning setup on this hardware as a single-node?

I would appreciate any guidance or detailed steps on how to fix these issues. I’m trying to understand how storage and partitions are managed within OpenStack and how to configure them for a smooth VM installation.
