Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

When a build was failing due to an OOM, it wasn't apparent what the issue was: NixOS/nixpkgs#299240

Describe the solution you'd like

Whenever a build fails due to an OOM error, instead of providing an error code, a human-readable error message stating that an OOM error happened would save a lot of troubleshooting.
