New to xDrip+ so a couple of basic questions.

Now that I've got xDrip+ running on GrapheneOS Android 15 and uploading to Tidepool, I'm sorta looking forward to dumping my Dexcom G7 receiver and Dexcom Clarity as a next step to simplify things. So, I have a few questions for anyone who knows.

1. How many daily users are there on xDrip+ ? What do you think the projects longevity is?

2. I haven't had the opportunity to speak with my Endocrinologist about it yet, but is Tidepool the best Clarity alternative in the U.S.? What are other folks MD's using?

3. Should I have the Use 2023 method to connect to Tidepool checkbox turned on? It works without it, and seems to throw minor token expired errors into the log with it on. Any preference?

4. Is Tidepool making any significant financial contribution to the Nightscout Foundation from the data sharing donations?

5. Any idea why Dexcom is so bitchy about xDrip+ uploading to Clarity? They make their money off selling sensors, and software is just an expense to them. When I owned a software company I'd have just provided an API, or at least the code for a Method. Actually, if I were Dexcom I'd buy xDrip+ and Tidepool.

That's it. At this point I fail to see any reason to carry around a receiver and make double treatment entries just so I can keep Clarity updated. If my Endocrinologist can access Tidepool then bye bye Clarity.

I have been using xDrip as a collector from G5 then G6 and now from G7 since 2018.

I provide a PDF file generated by Tidepool to my MD. But, the AGP graph does not have enough resolution for me and my doctor says it looks like a flat line. So, I attach to it a single graph I create from my custom Nightscout AGP graph. My doctor is happy with it.

I have enabled "Use new auth" for Tidepool. I'm not sure why we need the setting . I hope we can make it hardcoded to enabled and remove the setting soon.

I don't know anything about Tidepool's financial contributions.

Dexcom is a company with many challenges they have to maneuver around. FDA compliance, patent infringement lawsuit, liability insurance, are just a few to consider.
We need Dexcom and other CGM companies to succeed so that they can continue to innovate. Next is a way for the CGM to measure blood glucose instead of interstitial fluid glucose. Without companies like Dexcom, none of that is going to happen. So, we don't question or criticize Dexcom or other companies in this repository.

Understood. FYI, I noticed that when I brought my Clarity data into Tidepool it pulled my full 5 years of CGM data but no treatment data. That's not an issue for me, I just found it odd. xDrip is uploading everything currently and going forward.
