Changes in this PR are:

  • Change prod_envir version to prod_envir/1.1.0
  • Added prod_util version where not set
  • Update syndat paths (some cleanup also done around this)
  • Remove METplus section from vrfy.sh (left out of prior commits)
  • Add DO_VSDB switch in config.base.emc.dyn and config.vrfy
  • Update vrfy.sh to use DO_VSDB switch instead of VRFY_PCKG2RUN switch (remove VRFY_PCKG2RUN switch...now use DO_METP and DO_VSDB switches)
  • Add COMROOT path to config.base.emc.dyn and have it set via setup_expt*py scripts

Changes have been tested in free-forecast tests on Hera and WCOSS-Dell.

There will be a similar PR for the operations branch ingesting these changes.
