Description
Add the JEDI based ocean and sea-ice DA (soca) tasks to the cycling application.
Acceptance Criteria (Definition of Done)
A coupled forecast step (c48/5deg ocena/ice, see dependencies below) that dumps the appropriate backgrounds for the ocean and sea-ice DA.
Addition of the following tasks (implemented in the GDASApp repo):
gdasocnanalprep:
stage backgrounds, obs and fixed DA files
generate yamls for JEDI executables (obs + 3DVAR FGAT)
gdasocnanalrun:
generate the DA grid
generate the static (but bkg dependent) B
run the JEDI VAR executable
prepare the ocean increment for MOM6
insert the sea-ice analysis in CICE restart
gdasocnanalpost:
not sure yet
Dependencies
Being able to run the coupled ocn-ice-atmos at c48/5deg within the cycling application. I might decide to sneak in the c48/5deg setup in the same feature branch ... TBD That work is mostly done, thanks to @DeniseWorthen for helping!
