Describe the bug

When testing the unstructured mesh feature branch for UFS Issue # 1556, compiling in GNU + DEBUG + PDLIB segfaults on an unassociated pointer in w3iorsmd.F90.

To Reproduce

Expected behavior

A check should be made that the pointer irqrs is associated before use.
