As an etherial Tau G got their DNA stolen by a changeling, afterwards they revived as a crystal using the race bonus. They were alive again but had no DNA sequence anymore, cloning no longer worked on them and neither did any genetic mutations

there is DNA surgery so fixable and not really a bug in first place
