Now I'm unsure if this is intended, but one shift I wondered 'hey, what if I replace my lungs with a heatsink?'...so, I did exactly that. Not only did it grant me essentially self resp (although I did react to anesthesia gas so I had to use a tank with 0 pressure set on the valve) and I could cpr people, it also left me with permanent o2 damage (which I managed to heal out with medbeam). And other organs worked relatively the same compared to normal organs (aside from the inability to rot).
