In Megamek lobby, using Reinforce from MUL causes the deployment phase to be skipped #6204

Severity *

Medium (Gameplay Limitation): Non-core functionality is impaired, providing a suboptimal but playable experience.

Brief Description *

In the lobby, selecting "Game->Reinforce from MUL" to load in units, when you launch the game, it skips deployment phase.

Using the "Load from MUL" link on the left side of the lobby does not trigger this issue.

Note: In the round report, you can see it say "round #0" rather than "Initial deployment" when the game starts.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create an MUL file with units
  2. Open a new game
  3. Click Game->Reinforce from MUL
  4. Assign some units to another player
  5. Start the game. Deployment will be skipped.

Best fix would be to disable this game menu item in the lobby, or call the same call as the Load from MUL.
