Hue dimmer switch not pairing #2224
Comments
I know this is not helping you, but I paired a couple of hue dimmers yesterday, on version:
Can you reset the dimmer and try again? |
I have tried numerous times, I can't remove and can't succesfully pair and use. |
I however use the zstack firmware 1.2. I am reluctant to update to 3.0 since (re)pairing all my zigbee devices is a few hours work :( |
Can you share your database.db? |
Is it safe to share publicly? |
Yes; no security critical information is inside. |
blub.. |
It looks that the device has been paired correctly ( If that is the case, can you try to re-trigger a configure, stop zigbee2mqtt, change |
|
It works again. I finally reset the device, restarted zigbee2mqtt and kept pressing the buttons again and now it works ;) |
Great! |

Problem
I get:
but nothing more.
How to reproduce it (minimal and precise)
Run edge and below firmware and then try to pair a Hue Dimmer switch by pressing the setup pinhole for 10 seconds.
The dimmer works fine in Hue and also has been working fine on zigbee2mqtt edge before.
Debug Info
zigbee2mqtt version: Edge branch on Hassio
Coordinator: CC2530 + CC2591 version: 20190608
When I look at the logs more closely I see that the Hue Dimmer switch is paired somehow:
When I try to remove it:
When I press the button of the remote the LED stays off, normally it would blink green.
