[Bug]: Heroes of Might and Magic IV - not working #46
Comments
Sorry but you've not been clean on whats happening.
No clue what that is nor does a google search.
This isn't clear. |
bangs - the camera cutout in the new macs |
Oh your referring to the notch. Ok so from what I can gather your saying you can play legacy games on Apple Silicon systems that don’t have the camera notch, if they do have the camera notch it only works on an external display. |
Yes, it's exactly like that. I think it's due to the non-standard display resolution. if so, is it possible to solve this issue? |
|
alas, that didn't help. |
macOS Version

Apple Silicon or Intel
Apple Silicon
Wrapper Version
Wineskin-3.0.9
Engine
WS12WinwCX23.7.1_1
Application/Game Name
Heroes of Might and Magic IV

Description of problem
Render used "no3d".
The problem is that the game launches and works fine on macs without bangs, that is on macbook air 13 inches 2020 (M1) and on any other with an external display connected. But when running on a macbook 14-16 inches with bangs, an error appears. This happens a lot with older games, is there any solution to this problem?
I am attaching a screenshot of the error. If anything, all VC 2005-2022 and vcrun are installed.
