Details on version and operating system

Ubuntu 20.04 with JabRef 5.6

Checked with the latest development build

  • I made a backup of my libraries before testing the latest development version.
  • I have tested the latest development version and the problem persists

Steps to reproduce the behaviour

  1. Start JabRef 5.6
  2. Wait for notification about new version (5.7)
  3. Click "Ignore this update"
  4. Close JabRef and reopen JabRef
  5. Get notification about new version again

I cannot really check this with the latest development version for obvious reasons (still had to check those buttons to submit this issue).

The same issue was reported in #2054 and supposedly fixed.
